All we want to do is eat your brains
We're not unreasonable, I mean, no one's gonna eat your eyes
All we want to do is eat your brains
We're at an impasse here, maybe we should compromise:
If you open up the doors
We'll all come inside and eat your brains
We're not unreasonable, I mean, no one's gonna eat your eyes
All we want to do is eat your brains
We're at an impasse here, maybe we should compromise:
If you open up the doors
We'll all come inside and eat your brains

I'm so sorry that it's taken me two weeks to write another post. It's been a crazy couple of weeks and I've been quite stressed out. I've begun to realize that there's no real break in Law School. Every moment is either a moment used wisely or a moment wasted. While this is true in everyday life, in law school, whether the moment is used wisely or wasted, every moment still dictates whether the hefty costs and thirty-year debt are worth it. Not every non-law school related moment is wasted, though. Time to regain sanity and relax (and sleep!) are necessary for survival, as long as they don't become consuming to the point where it really is just wasting time.
This is my reasoning (excuse) for not posting. In truth, I've been terrible at managing my time lately and just haven't gotten around to posting. So this is why I apologize for not writing.
That being said, I have been studying a lot. We had our second Voldemort assignment due last week and our first midterm today. We also got our grades for the first Voldemort assignment, and I didn't do as well as I would have liked. There were a lot of notes on my writing that I applied to my second assignment, so I feel better about it, but not much. I was significantly more confident about the paper until we went over it in class....and now I'm certain I did just as poorly. I'm going to do better on the third one that was just assigned...I have to if I want to pass.
The midterms. We had one today and another one tomorrow, but tomorrow's isn't graded, thankfully. Today's midterm was in Property. I've mentioned before how much I don't like the subject, but I'm feeling pretty confident about it (which makes me feel like I don't understand it at all). I've been hearing people's conversations and many of my classmates are majorly upset about how they think they did. I just want to say that there's no way to know how we did, really, until we get the grade back. We can all speculate and argue about what we think the answer was, but we really won't know until we get it. Those of us who think we understood the question perfectly could be wrong, and those of us who are certain we got it wrong could be right. Stressing out now about what we may or may not have gotten doesn't do us any good when we have so much else to do. That being said, it is stressful to think that 9 multiple-choice questions constitute 20% of our grade. Counting every single point, however, is not going to help us do well on our papers and finals....we can only give it everything we've got and hope that everything we've got is enough.
Well, on a personal note, my birthday's next week! Woot! 23. :] I love birthdays! Not just mine, but in general. It's a celebration that someone is alive. My law school friend, Katie, has her birthday on Friday. I'd give a shout-out, but I'm fairly certain she doesn't read my blog. Haha. :] And...the weekend after my birthday I'm going back to Northridge for 9 days. :D We have Fall Break going on, so that's nice. Granted, it's not much of a break. I have classes to outline and our 3rd Voldemort paper is due the week after....so I'll be doing a lot of homework...the company will just be different.
So here is my send-off! I got TWO Starbucks gift cards. Thank you to my parents and Kelly and Michelle. I really appreciate it. I still want to hear from the rest of you though! Update me on your liiiives. I miss you guys.
Have a great week! I'll do my best to update next week before I leave for California. :]
