There's no guarantee,
that this will be easy.
It's not a miracle you need, believe me.
Yeah, I'm no angel, I'm just me,
but I will love you endlessly.

Hello!
It's been quite a while since I've written anything. I woke up early this morning to make myself a breakfast smoothie and have some time, so I thought I'd try to get back into updating this.
A LOT has changed since November.
For starters, I no longer work at OfficeMax. I worked at OfficeMax for six months and I hated most of it. I tried my best to stay positive about the whole experience, but it really just wasn't the right fit for me. Being a middle manager wasn't easy. The Store and Assistant managers didn't treat me like a manager, but expected me to do the manager's job. The associates treated me like a manager and gave me crap for it. And then there were the customers. If you've ever worked in retail....then you know what that one's like. Leaving was a definite relief. But there were good parts, too. And working there allowed me to stay in Virginia...so I can't say that it was all bad. It was an experience, that's for sure.
My new job is awesome. I work at Liberty Tax Service's corporate office. For those of you who aren't familiar, Liberty is a tax prep company (Like H&R Block) that has offices around the country run by franchisees. At the corporate office, we don't prepare taxes, but we sell and service the franchisees to help them be successful. I work in the sales department. The sales reps do the selling and I work support. I help with all the back end stuff that comes with selling a franchise, like paperwork and registering franchisees for training and stuff. So far, I rather enjoy it. :) Technically, it is only seasonal, but Liberty's great at holding on to their seasonal employees (moving them around to keep them within the company) when their good at their job. That's what happened for Kris. He bounces between two seasonal position, but is considered a full time employee with all the benefits that come with being such.Speaking of Kris. :D :D :D In late November, right before Thanksgiving, we got engaged. Then, on April 19th, 2015... after exactly two years of being together... we got married!! Yay! We had a nice little ceremony in my friends' backyard (Thank you Jeff and Lindsey!!) and it was absolutely lovely. Joanna, Laura and Sabrena planned essentially the entire thing and I am so grateful for all the work that everyone put in. So many people flew out to see the event. I got to see people I haven't seen in quite some time (Like my friend Alex...from High School!!). I could individually thank everyone who was there...but I'm not going to here. For those who came, thank you so much, it meant the world to us. I don't have pictures yet from my photographer, but as soon as I do, I'll post them on facebook and I'll make a post here, too.
We also moved into our own place. It's a two bedroom townhouse and I really like it. I'm not sure if I like it because I just like it, or if I like it because it's mine. Probably because it's mine and Kris's and it's becoming home. In our new place, we have a real adult looking couch, too. It's super comfy. I'm pretty excited to have a real piece of furniture that didn't come from Walmart/Target/K-mart/Etc.Finally, the newest news of the hour.... I'm going back to school!! After much discussion with my husband (:D) and my mama, it was decided that this was the right path to take. Before I took this job in sales, I also interviewed for a paralegal position at Liberty. I thoroughly embarrassed myself. I just didn't have the experience to back up my thought that I'd be good at the job. (On a side note, I still think I'd be good at the job...especially now that I know what they do as sales works very closely with legal). So I'm going to get my associates in paralegal studies. In the last year since being out of law school, I've gone back and forth about whether I really wanted to give it up. I don't. I really enjoyed the stuff I learned in law school and I want to be a part of the legal field. But realistically, going back to law school itself isn't feasible. Not only is it expensive, I don't think I can emotionally handle that experience again. Not at this point in my life, anyway. So I'm taking the paralegal route and I hope that getting this degree will help me in getting back into the legal field. I'm quite excited to be going back to school. I start May 26th, for the summer session at Tidewater Community College. Thankfully, pretty much every required class is available online or in the evening. We can't afford for me not to work.
So that's the briefest overview of my life in the last six months. If you have any questions, send me a letter! ;) If you'd like my new address, hit me up over e-mail or phone or on Facebook....whatever your preference be. But y'all should know by now how much I love to get mail. ^_^
I'll start posting more often. I had my reasons for not posting for a while and I'm slowly getting out of that. Hope y'all are doing well.
